ESNNA CODE

Código de Conducta contra la explotación Sexual De
Niñas, Niños y Adolescentes (ESNNA)

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has created a policy to prevent and eradicate sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA) in tourism. This policy is based on the code of conduct against ESNNA, which is a set of principles and actions that must be followed by tourism service providers. TUPAC ADVENTURES is a tourism company that has a commitment and agreement to implement this policy.

The Code of Conduct against ESNNA and Our Commitment

At TUPAC ADVENTURES we are committed to take joint measures to prevent and eliminate the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in all our services and throughout our value chain.

This code of conduct is a voluntary commitment that everyone working at TUPAC ADVENTURES must comply with. It aims to protect children and adolescents from any type of sexual exploitation and human trafficking related to travel and tourism.

TUPAC ADVENTURES puts into effect the actions against the ESNNA

By adhering to the Code of Conduct against ESNNA, we commit to carry out and constantly reinforce a series of actions as part of our activities. These actions include:

  • Our administrative staff, as well as the logistics staff (guides, cooks, drivers, support porters and muleteers) are already duly trained to contribute to the Code of Conduct. Tourists, whether national or foreign, are not offered in any way nor are they granted any request regarding sexual tourism with children or adolescents, for both ethical and legal reasons
  • As a travel agency and Local Tour Operator, TUPAC ADVENTURES adheres to this commitment by signing the Code of Conduct against ESNNA, before GERCETUR and we commit to comply with the principles and duties established in this document; as well as in compliance with the General Law of Tourism and its regulations regarding the prevention of ESNNA.
  • Along the same lines, we work with our partners (hotels, restaurants, etc.) and their staff to help eradicate the commercial sexual exploitation of children (ESNNA) in all sectors and stages of our tourism services.
  • In addition to our commitment to corporate social responsibility, we are also committed to promoting the well-being of children in our region and country. We do this indirectly, by supporting families who live in the tourist destinations where we operate. We also support children on special occasions.
